The director told his favorite scene in the film
In a recent interview, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ director Nag Ashwin himself called this scene his favourite in the entire film. He said, ‘The visual of that scene and the way Deepika presented herself with so much restraint is amazing. I told her that if everything goes well, then this poster of the film will probably live longer than both of us.’
The story will not survive if Deepika’s character is removed
Nag Ashwin talked about Deepika Padukone’s role in the film. He further said, ‘She is the most important part of the story. When we were writing, we discussed this a lot. I think the simplest answer that came to us was, whose character can you remove and the story will not remain? And that became Deepika’s character, because if you remove her character, the story will not remain. Kalki will not remain.’
